Inline Hockey

I play inline hockey for the Ballistyx Bulldogs in 'Ba' grade. Inline hockey is very similar to ice hockey, except it is not full contact and it is played on inline skates. This makes the sport cheaper, as the expense of running an ice rink in Australia is extremely expensive (and is passed onto the players). As a result, there are very few ice rinks in Australia, making it hard for the sport of ice hockey to grow. Inline hockey on the other hand can be played on most skating rinks in Australia, and is growing quickly.
I first started in 2000 playing for the Bayswater Lions, but left after getting fed up with the support and administration of the club. Before I moved to the Bulldogs, I played for both teams, as they are in different leagues. I train each week on Thursday nights at the Bayswater rink, and play at the Puckhandlers in Reservoir each Sunday afternoon / evening.
